C 1396 is a large emission nebula in the constellation Cepheus, located at a distance of approximately 3,000 light-years. It is an active star-forming region that extends over hundreds of light-years. Photographed from Oulu using a 300 mm camera lens, an astronomical camera, and narrowband filters, with a total exposure time of approximately 11 hours.
