IC 63 is located approximately 600 light-years away in the constellation Cassiopeia. The nebula is ionized by the bright and massive star Gamma Cassiopeiae, the central star in Cassiopeia’s distinctive W-shape.
Captured using an 11” reflecting telescope and narrowband filters. Total exposure time approximately 16 hours.
